Young Municipal Airport,[2] formerly Detroit City Airport until ) is six miles northeast of downtown Detroit, in Wayne County, Michigan, United States. It is owned by the City of Detroit.[2] The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for – categorized it as a regional general aviation facility.[3] In , it was given its current name in honor of the late former mayor of Detroit Coleman A.

From July through September , Southwest Airlines served the airport with 10 to 13 daily flights.[5][6]Chautauqua Airlines served the airport but ceased service less than a year later.[7]Spirit Airlines planned to fly McDonnell-Douglas DC-9s to DET in , but never began service.[8
