A new book has recently been released by Diwan Publishing titled “Sameh Al Tawil, the Multimedia Artist: A Critical Analytical Study” by the esteemed art critic Fatma Ali.

This work is a critical analytical study—a monograph—that traces the journey of artist Sameh Al Tawil, beginning with his early days in Cairo, through his migration to Germany, and up to the present.

The book sheds light on the geopolitical and social changes and their influence on his art, covering his multimedia works that span from visual arts, photography, and performance to contemporary digital media such as artificial intelligence and augmented reality.

With a deep philosophical approach, the book delves into themes of freedom and identity, ex
